Shamelessly I admit…I stood over the chicken pan feeling a bit like a barbarian…I was scraping the pan drippings off and eating them. I was greasy, I was hiding a little, I was in heaven! Ranch dressing has got to be the cure-all for food: celery is not nasty as long as it’s covered in ranch, a Chick-fil-a sandwich is divine, but BETTER drenched in creamy buttermilk ranch dressing!
This roasted chicken recipe is one of the simplest stick-it-in-the-oven-and-forget-it recipes you will find. It DOES take 1hr 45mins to cook, but you literally don’t have to do anything to it during that time. No pre-browning, no flipping, grilling, tending to, so why not set your oven to start at 2 hours before you want to eat dinner and enjoy fall off the bone quality chicken with flavor through the roof?
When we go too many days without having roasted chicken, my husband is the first to mention it, “we haven’t had your roasted chicken in a while…” This recipe was a huge hit. Mix 3 ingredients and slather the bird and you have a delectable masterpiece that tastes like a LOT of work, but really only took you 5 minutes to get in the oven!

This recipe only requires 3 ingredients…
Buttermilk Ranch Roasted Chicken
1 whole fryer chicken (organic preferred)
*1/4 cup Buttermilk ranch (or regular ranch with a tbsp lemon juice in it)
Seasoning salt
Spread ranch all over and under the skin of chicken, sprinkle with seasoned salt and bake at 350ยบ for 1hr 45mins.
*the paleo option would be to use the paleo ranch HERE.

Super easy! When we do whole roasted chickens we butterfly them up just because it cooks so much faster that way.
