Today I did something I love to do, but haven’t been able to do for a while. I ran with MapMyFitness! Distance: 4.00mi, time: 53:15, pace: 13:19min/mi, speed: 4.51mi/h.
I hadn’t been able to run since before pregnant with Elijah and if you check out my story here, you’ll understand why. I’ve missed it more than I could really convey. To me running has become alone time, a symbol of overcoming mental road blocks, and a peaceful time that leaves me feeling great all day!
I was cleared by my doctor to start working out recently and I knew I’d be nowhere near the HIIT workouts I used to do much less running 7 miles like old times. So I decided to try not to assess myself by an old guage, but rather go by how I was feeling.
I am not yet done with my lead chelation detox, I still have about 1, possibly 2 months left and then moving the attention to healing the gut lining; during that time exercise has to be a delicate process. I can taste the strong days, they’re within reach now. I owe that all to my merciful God.
If I look back to where I came from, I can hardly believe that a year ago I was crying out to God for THIS time!! He has not only brought me through, but he kept his promise to give me abundance in him. I still “feel” bad days of fatigue every now and again, but I always have a Loving God to cradle me in those times and I’m so blessed and grateful!
