I am a huge fan of Chinese food. According to most Chinese people I have encountered, it’s not Chinese at all what we eat here in America. I am fine with this. Let me love me some fried rice in peace!
Anywho, has anyone noticed the wild outburst of cauliflower recipes lately? I mean are cauliflower farmers promoting some sort of marketing strategy or something? Regardless of whether we are going through cauliflowermagedon or not, I had to hop onto this bandwagon as a grain-free missy and ride it for all it’s worth!!!
This recipe is so low carb, it’s not even funny, but it is the epitome of comfort food all at the same time. I don’t know if I have eaten REAL fried rice since I started making this recipe. It’s that good. After Jeanette polished off a rather full bowl within 10 minutes, she proceeded to give me the five star compliments to the chef, “Mom, that food is so good, you are the best food-maker”
Try this one out, it’s delish!
Fried “Rice” (Paleo) Recipe:
5 cups (1 head of cauloiflower) minced in a food processor until the size of….well rice
2-4 lbs ground turkey (organic is best)
1 small onion diced
2 medium carrots chopped
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or 1/2 tsp dried)
1 cup chopped organic green beans or broccoli
3 eggs (mixed in a cup)
Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (or soy sauce or Coconut Aminos)
Salt and Pepper to taste
*optional green onions and (if not paleo) green english peas to accent
Follow the step-by-step instrucctions above and you can’t go wrong. I cooked on medium the whole time. It’s a one pan wonder and you can’t go wrong!
