Kara’s Kansas City Sauce (Paleo BBQ)

I posted recently a Ketchup “Base” because it is delicious as is, but can also be built upon. This barbecue sauce will require some of that recipe, but if you blended all the ingredients initially and cooked them down, that’s ok too, it’ll work out.

This sauce is amazing on ribs, chicken, pulled pork, french fries or just about anything else that needs some excitement. You can add it to some homemade ranch for a barbecue salad dressing or marinate chicken breasts in for grilling. Cathing my drift? You want to make this. You need to. You need this in your life…

It will require:

2 cups Ketchup Base

3 TBS molasses

1/4 cup apple cider

1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

a quick squirt of Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (coconut aminos for cleanest Paleo option)

pinch red pepper flakes

*optional 1/2 tsp ground mustard

Add these items and whisk in a sauce pan, then simmer until desired thickness. Cool, then jar in a glass container and store in fridge.
